The PROBLEM for me was… that even though I started out with guitar lessons, and played cover tunes with live bands for years, I still didn’t know WHY I was playing what I was playing. The pentatonic scale would work sometimes but not all the time. And, I would have to piece together chunks of memorized riffs for every song… nothing seemed to tie together for me musically.

I struggled like this for 23 years… until finally, I got so sick of not being sure of myself that I studied scales… and chords… and music theory until I got it.

However, I wanted to share a more simplified VISUAL approach to show a big overview of general music theory concepts on guitar to demystify some peoples’ perceptions that music theory is complicated. So, I created fretboard animations on video to make it easier to explain the relationship of chords and scale modes to the rest of the world. I also developed a color-coded method to more easily memorize and recognize all 7 scale modes… and to show that these modes can all be played with THIS ONE repeating pattern of only 3 different shapes that wind their way up and down the neck in this same sequence.

Please be aware… this course is not intended for beginners. If you ARE a beginner, I recommend that you come back in a few months after getting familiar with barre chords and riffs. Unless you’re super aggressive and want to grasp the big picture while you’re still learning the basics.
